🧹 Do not waste resources

Matrix is not very efficient and needs powerful hardware to run. This service is run by an individual who has to pay for the service.

• Abandoning (forgetting to unbridge) big Telegram-bridged rooms with thousands of users, that then get mirrored to Matrix for no reason.
• Same for Discord or other bridges
• Bridgeing big rooms, that may even be bridged or do exist already in another way on the network
• Same for bridging big Telegram or Discord rooms
• Using the service as a feedreader for popular Twitter hashtags
• Using the service as a feedreader for popular blogs (like Tumblr)
• Using the service as a dump for your thousands of shitposting-memes

✋ Mass-invites are not allowed

Unless approved by a tchncs server-moderator; consented by the invited party; decided by an organization – orchestrating its legitimate and identifyable users, you are not allowed to massinvite users.

🌈 This is no place for conspiracy myths

We do not tolerate rooms that are meant and known for spreading conspiracy myths, such as SARS-CoV-2 being a lie, Vaccines containing chips, Chemtrails or Flat-Earth exist, Flying Spaghetti Monster not being real or similar.

🕊️ This is no place for violent and/or illegal content

• Sexual depictions of children (yes, also drawings)
• Content illegal in Germany and/or France, such as holocaust denial or Nazi symbolism
• Conduct promoting the ideology of National Socialism
• Gore and extremely graphic violence
• Content we judge to be hateful towards specific individuals or groups, or intended to cause or incite harm

🛡️ Reporting bad actors

Help us keeping this place clean by reporting mean kids and bad actors. Note that if you use your client to report remote users, only tchncs.de will receive the report. Our options for responding to remote accounts are not perfect, please also consult their homeserver. If you report bad users, please note that often more details are needed. To provide them, it might be helpful to contact your admin via Matrix or eMail. Report abuse
